Urban Preservation Foundation (UPF) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization managed by a seven-member board of directors. Dedicated to promoting the historic and neighborhood revitalization of San Francisco’s Central Market district through urban preservation, renewal and management, UPF focuses on the following areas:

·         Property management of affordable and market rate housing

·         Creation of affordable housing

·         Historic and architectural preservation

·         Adaptive reuse of existing buildings

·         Neighborhood revitalization

Urban Preservation Foundation’s activities are charitable in nature and benefit the community by helping to preserve the historic integrity of the community and the rich cultural heritage that is unique to San Francisco.

To further support its efforts, UPF sponsors and produces thoughtful community-related events, including art exhibitions, theatre, live music, and small festivals. All proceeds generated through UPF sponsored events are used exclusively to fund future community-centered projects.
